The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives (MoITC), Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and United Nations Industrial Organization (UNIDO) launched the first ever Manufacturing Summit and Expo in the East African region on 16 November 2016 in Nairobi.
Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) met to deliberate on delayed payment issue following the recent media reports of major retail supermarkets facing financial challenges.
KAM held a meeting with the Mombasa County Finance team on 13 September 2016 to discuss port charges and other charges in the Finance Bill that hinder trade in Mombasa County. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the legality of the county charging of the port charges.
East African Business Council (EABC) in collaboration with Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives held the Second Regional Anti-Illicit Trade Conference on 15 – 16 September, 2016 in Nairobi.
