    KAM kicks off 3rd Edition of Changamka Shopping Festival – Mombasa
    Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) has kicked off the 3rd edition of Mombasa Changamka Shopping Festival, with calls on Kenyans to take advantage of the festival and shop for quality products at discounted prices.  The festival will run from 30th November to 2nd December 2023 at Oshwal Centre.

    KAM statement on the proposed Export Development and Investment Levy in the Finance Bill 2023
    The National Assembly published the Finance Bill, 2023 on 28th April 2023 that seeks to amend laws relating to various taxes and duties while proposing new taxes, regulations, and incentives. Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) engaged its members on the Bill and thereafter presented to the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning, on 24th May 2023, a memorandum of its members’ feedback, concerns, and proposals.

    KAM Statement on the Finance Bill, 2023
    The National Assembly published the Finance Bill 2023 on 28th April 2023. The Bill seeks to amend laws relating to various taxes and duties such as the Income Tax Act, Value Added Act (VAT), Tax Procedures Act and Excise Duty Act while proposing new taxes, regulations, and incentives.

    KAM hosts trade and investment mission in Kinshasa, DRC
    Manufacturers from Kenya have called for export-led manufacturing growth to increase the sector’s contribution to the GDP from the current 7.8% to 20% by 2030. This was during the Trade and Investment Mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) hosted by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) in partnership with Equity Bank, in Kinshasa to discuss trade promotion between the two countries.
