    KAM Response to Parliament’s Rejection of Sections of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill
    On the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill, Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) would like to state the following: KAM notes with concern the recent rejection of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Bill by Parliament. It is unconscionable for law-makers at this critical point in our economy to dilute efforts of local manufacturers to recover economically and invest in this country.

    Overreaching regulations impeding SME growth

    Manufacturers call for expedited resolution of NTBs and review of EAC CET
    Manufacturers from Kenya and Tanzania have called for the expedited resolution of non-tariff barriers (NTBs) and the review of the East African Community Common External Tariff (EAC CET). This was during the trade investment forum held yesterday, hosted by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, to discuss trade promotion between the two states.

    KAM, ITC launch sustainability reports for textile and leather sectors
    Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the International Trade Centre have launched reports on sustainable Textile and Leather Sectors in East Africa. The reports were prepared within the framework of ITC’s Supporting Indian Trade and Investment for Africa (SITA) programme.  The reports are set to guide industry players and policy makers, in aligning their manufacturing processes and policy, with global trends.

    Kenyan, Tanzanian manufacturers hold three-day trade talks
    Manufacturers from Kenya and Tanzania have met to deliberate on trade promotion and market access between the two countries. Food and Beverage, Edible Oils, Chemicals, Automotive, Leather and Footwear sectors are some of the manufacturing sectors that shall participate in the trade mission, hosted by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) in partnership with Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI).

    Local manufacturers list top priorities in report on impact of COVID to the sector
