Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) has today inked a partnership deal with Sainath Education Institute to address skills gap within the Textiles and Apparel Sector.
Manufacturers have today called on stakeholders to bridge the gap between training and industry’s skills needs.
This was during a Job Summit, hosted by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), in partnership with the German Development Corporation. The Summit, themed ‘Driving manufacturing growth through sustainable skills development’, brought together youth, manufacturers, technical training institutes, Government and development partners. It was held during the ongoing Changamka Shopping Festival.

The 5th edition of the Changamka Shopping Festival by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers has officially kicked off at KICC. Manufacturers have today donated KSh 104,087,361 to support Kenyans affected by the ongoing drought in the country.
Speaking during the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Humanitarian Initiative fundraising event, His Excellency the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua observed that the drought situation is worsening in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs).
