Launch of Trans Nzoia County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP)

7/09/2023: KAM North Rift chapter participated in the official launch event of the Trans Nzoia County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP). The guest of honor for this occasion was Honorable Moses Kuria, Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry (MITI). He was joined by Dr Juma Mukhwana, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Industry. During his address, CS Kuria emphasized the significance of aggregation and enhancing value addition. Notably, Trans Nzoia County contributes 25 percent of the maize production in the entire country. As a result, one of the key focal points of this industrial park will be maize milling. The County Governor, George Natembeya, stated that this project is expected to generate approximately 30,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly. Furthermore, the park will facilitate the production of value-added goods such as sunflower oil, milk processing, cereal milling, and fresh produce, among others.
