KAM Hosts Lower Eastern Region Members’ Forum

6/10/2023: Through our well-established regional presence, KAM actively engages its members, working to develop and prioritize local initiatives. We collaborate with industry experts to create strategies and action plans that address the diverse challenges faced by the manufacturing sector.

We facilitated an open forum for our Lower Eastern region members, encouraging them to interact and discuss their business challenges. This platform allowed participants to share their concerns and brainstorm collective solutions, fostering more efficient business operations for all.

The discussions were centered on a comprehensive training and awareness session focused on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). This session was conducted in collaboration with key organizations, including the Kenya Hazardous Waste Producer Responsible Organisation (KEHAPRO), Packaging Producer Responsibility Organisation (PAKPRO) and the Kenya Extended Producer Responsibility Organisation (KEPRO)

The PROs played a pivotal role in highlighting the significance of responsible waste disposal and management among businesses and manufacturers.

Through their expertise and collaborative efforts, the PROs provided valuable insights and strategies to ensure a more environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to waste management within the manufacturing sector.
