Balance for Better: Powering inclusivity in the Big Four Agenda
The world of manufacturing is beginning to realize the value of women’s participation for its advancement, as it transforms through technology and rapid digitization. Globally, the more the sector changes, the more palpable the need for women’s involvement towards reaching new heights of innovation and creativity.
The Women in Manufacturing Kenya programme recognizes the importance of women in driving industrial transformation for job creation and inclusive economic growth. It is also well positioned to develop into a national agenda that will help mainstream the narrative of industrialization.
Within the Big Four Agenda, it is essential that we provide business linkages for women owned businesses. This will not only contribute highly to creating employment opportunities and increasing GDP contribution, but will also allow them to achieve their economic potential in trade, and empower them to take more control of their positions in the value chain.
It is important to enable women-owned business to be key players in both value and supply chains in an effort to enhance their access to markets both regional and global.
The WIM Gala Dinner 2019, seeks to provide a platform for women in industry to discuss avenues through which their participation and contribution to the Big Four Agenda can be boosted.
The event shall do this by targeting leading women industrialists and leaders in the political sphere as participants and speakers to inspire and build networks towards a shared vision.
