Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Lower Eastern Region has appointed Mr Olivier Lauvaux as the new Regional Chair and Mr Jeremiah Nzomo as the regional Vice Chair.
Mr Lauvaux, who is the Managing Director of Cockerill East Africa Ltd, has been serving as a member of the KAM Lower Eastern Committee since 2016. He is a trained Electrical and Electronics Engineer.
Speaking at the regional offices, Mr Lauvaux said, “Our success in our lobbying efforts is as good as our members’ participation in our regional advocacy agenda. Hence, it is critical to enhance membership engagement, to have a strong and respected voice in the region. Similarly, numbers are critical. Membership recruitment to build a stronger chapter will be key to creating a robust and inclusive membership base.”
The incoming Vice Chair Jeremiah Nzioka is the Human Resource Manager of Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd. He has been serving in the Lower Eastern Region Committee for the last four years.
Mr Lauvaux takes over from Mr Mureithi Regeru whose four-year term focused on advocating for a conducive business environment in the region and enhancing membership growth which tremendously increased the chapter’s visibility and voice in the regional advocacy scene.
Mr Regeru will continue to serve as an Ex-Official of the committee, playing an advisory role in the region’s advocacy initiatives, and also a committee member in the KAM Legal and Regulatory Committee.
KAM Lower Eastern Region covers Machakos, Kajiado, Makueni and Kitui Counties.
