KAM Hosts Energy Management Awards (EMA)
KAM hosted the 16th Annual EMA Awards, during which Umoja Rubber Products Limited emerged the overall winner, with Mombasa Cement, Athi River Unit taking the runners up award. The event themed ‘Rewarding Excellence in Sustainable Energy’ awarded over 20 companies that have achieved significant reductions in their energy consumption through the implementation of energy-efficient measures and technologies.
KAM meets East Africa Business Community CEO
KAM met EABC CEO, Hon. Peter Mathuki to discuss issues affecting trade in the EAC region. The meeting focused on women and SMEs empowerment, Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), the impact of COVID-19 on EAC trade and how to resolve the challenges and illicit trade, among others.

KAM, AKS and Veri Credit partner to curb late payment
Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Veri-Credit and Association of Kenya Suppliers (AKS) have partnered to promote the proactive mitigation of credit risk management by businesses. The KAM Industry Credit Group, managed by Veri-Credit, is the first-ever system that will be established in the country to promote best credit practices between businesses and their suppliers under trade associations. It will also seek to significantly improve businesses’ cashflow and drive a change in overall payment culture in Kenya.

Blue Nile Rolling Mills launches new plant
KAM joined Blue Nile Rolling Mills Limited for the launch of their new modern galvanized wire production plant. The new plant has the capacity to produce 30,000 tonnes of galvanized wired annually and is fully powered by solar energy. Blue Nile Group is an established steel manufacturing facility in Kenya, producing high quality steel products under the brand name Kifaru.
