Sunflag Group and Lineplast Group of Companies donate equipment to help curb the spread of COVID -19
Sunflag Group of companies donated masks to the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, to be distributed to the public. Additionally, Lineplast Group of Companies donated hand sanitizers to the Ministry of Industry, all of which are geared towards assisting to curb the spread of COVID -19. The items were received by CAS Mr Lawrence Karanja and PS Dr Francis Owino.
Sunflag Group donates additional PPE’s to the Interior Ministry
Sunflag Group of Companies also donated masks to the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
The masks were received by Interior CS Dr Fred Matiangi, who noted that KAM’s continued support in assisting to flatten the curve is a demonstration of our local capacity, saying, “This is Kenya’s moment to claim our position in the region. We’ll grow as a country.”
Industry CS visits BATA, Alpharama and Yetu Leather
Industry Cabinet Secretary Ms Betty Maina on Friday, 8th May 2020 visited Alpharama, Bata shoe Company and Yetu leather to engage the sector on various interventions to address challenges within the value chain.
Key areas of intervention discussed include: Buy Kenya Build Kenya Initiative, illicit trade, improving quality of raw materials, aligning duty anomalies and COVID 19 interventions.
Bata donates 2 Million worth of personal protective footwear to the Ministry of Industry
In its commitment to Keep Kenya Moving, Bata Kenya through its Bata heroes program donated 2 million worth of protective footwear to the Ministry of Health through the Ministry of Industry.
The donations were received by Industry CS Ms Betty Maina.
