KAM meets Youth PS

Youth PS, Dr Julius Korir paid a courtesy call to KAM on Monday, 15th June 2020. The meeting focused on areas of partnership between the State Agencies under the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, including National Youth Council (NYC) and Youth Fund to encourage the youth’s participation and inclusion in governance and the economy.

The areas of partnership shall include skills development, job creation and entrepreneurship.

The PS was accompanied by NYC CEO, Roy Sasaka; Youth Fund Ag. MD, Benson Muthingi and Youth Secretary Raymond Ochieng.

KAM meets KEPROBA CEO

KAM hosted newly appointed Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency CEO, Dr Wilfred Marube to discuss areas of partnership on export promotion for local manufacturers.

The meeting also focused on existing partnerships, and how to continue working together to increase the country’s market share locally, regionally and internationally.

Industry CS, KAM visit BAT

Earlier this week, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development CS, Betty Maina and KAM Chair, Mr Sachen Gudka visited British American Tobacco (BAT) offices.

The visit aimed to showcase the company’s new investments.

Kenya COVID Fund Factory Visits

KAM, Equity Group Foundation and Kenya COVID Fund Board visited Textile manufacturers in Kitui, Ruiru, Industrial Area and EPZ Athi River.

The purpose of the visits was to demonstrate the local industry’s capacity to supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to frontline medical personnel and the general public.

Some of the companies visited include: Texplast Limited, Manchester Outfitters, Alpha Knits Limited, KICOTEC and Shona EPZ.
