KAM, EY host Finance Bill 2022 Webinar 

KAM hosted a Finance Bill 2022 Webinar. The webinar, held in partnership with Ernst & Young (EY), brought together stakeholders from both the private and public sectors to enable manufacturers to understand the Budget Statement and the Finance Bill 2022. 

The Association also participated in budget forums hosted by Deloitte and EY, to analyze the 2022/23 budget.  

KAM hosts CEOs Forum 

The Association’s Centre for Green Growth and Climate Change hosted a CEOs’ Breakfast Forum. It sought to highlight and discuss the Association’s turnkey solutions for members towards green and sustainable manufacturing. 

SME Hub Innovation Programme Forums 

The KAM SME Hub hosted a two-day Sales, Marketing and Product Design Workshop, aimed at supporting SMEs in reviewing their current practices against best practice, post the COVID-19 pandemic. 

KAM conducts SME Study Tour 

The SME Hub undertook a study tour to Numerical Machining Complex. The tour sought to educate SMEs on locally available machinery and how to access machine parts and support services. 

KAM hosts Members’ Open Forums 

KAM hosted the North Rift Forum and Sundowner. The forums focused on skills development as local manufacturers transition to Industry 4.0. During the forum, TVET students in North Rift Region showcased their innovations. 

The Association also hosted the Central Region Members’ Forum. 

KAM, Wanderlust partner to promote sustainable tourism 

We signed an MoU with Wanderlust Diaries. Under the partnership, we shall collaborate to improve the environment for promoting sustainable travel and tourism. 

KAM, KRA host iCMS forum 

KAM in partnership with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) hosted a forum on iCMS. The seminar sensitized manufacturers and their clearing agents on KRA’s migration from the Simba System to the fully rolled out iCMS System.  

The Association also hosted a similar forum in Mombasa. 

CEOs Forum on the 2 Billion Tree Planting Campaign 

We participated in the CEOs Forum on the 2 Billion Tree Planting Campaign. The campaign is being spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and seeks to champion efforts to accelerate the achievement of the 10% national tree cover goal by 2022.  

Okoa Uchumi Manifesto Launched 

The Association participated in the launch of the Okoa Uchumi Manifesto. The launch aimed to sensitize Kenyans on public finance and debt accountability, for the transformation of Kenya’s political and economic culture and systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and inclusion in public finance management.  

KAM meets Coca Cola  

KAM engaged Coca Cola Kenya MD, Deborah Malowa. The meeting focused on areas of partnership on responsible waste management.  

Lower Eastern Region meets CMA 

The Lower Eastern Region, led by Chairman Olivier Lauvaux, engaged Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The meeting focused on how to encourage Manufacturers to venture into the capital markets for financial growth and upscaling businesses.
