Launch of the National Sustainable Waste Management Policy and National Marine Litter Management Action Plan
KAM participated in the launch of Kenya’s National Sustainable Waste Management Policy and National Marine Litter Management Action Plan. The launch was a side event at a special session to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the UNEP in Nairobi.
The National Sustainable Waste Management Policy is aimed at protecting public health and the environment, driving job creation and adopting integrated waste management and the minimization of waste generation.
The National Marine Litter Management Action Plan will help in managing litter disposal and accumulation in the marine environment and help manage threats to the health of the oceans.
KAM hosts Twitter Space on the Manufacturing Manifesto
KAM partnered with Soko Analyst to host a Twitter Space on the Manufacturing Manifesto. The space provided an opportunity for the Association to highlight proposals outlined in the Manifesto, that need to be prioritized by political aspirants to drive manufacturing growth even beyond the elections.
Dinner with the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations
KAM participated in an interactive dinner session with the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina J. Mohammed. The forum focused on the role of the private sector in creating equality and equity towards achieving the SDGs.
SDGs Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Forum
KAM participated in the SDGs Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Forum. It provided a platform to discuss how to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a multi-stakeholder approach.

KAM participated in the People Dialogue Festival. The festival provided a platform to discuss how to create solutions through balanced, inclusive and effective national dialogue on governance and development.
The theme was, Competition and Collaboration in Democratic Development.
KAM, MSK host mentorship forum
KAM partnered with Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) to host the MSK Student Mentorship Program, under the Association’s uKAMilifu initiative.
The MSK Student Mentorship Programme seeks to build competent marketing executives and ethical marketing practices in various sectors including manufacturing.
