KAM, NITA host Employers Forum

KAM in partnership with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) under the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) hosted an Employers Forum on 31st October 2018 in Kisumu.

The forum provided a platform to engage with employers within the greater Kisumu and Nyanza Region.

Key among the discussions include:

  1. Demand driven training to ensure that relevant skills are injected into the market, therefore increasing employability, innovation, job creation and increased productivity.
  2. Increased access to a pool of skilled workers in industries for the utilization of skilled labour for improved productivity
  3. Ways to reduce the effort in sourcing and training employees
  4. Opportunity to partner with training institutions, to tailor and develop training curriculum to ensure quality improvement and keeping up with technological changes in the business.
