South Rift Chapter Committee meets

The South Rift Chapter held a special Committee meeting on the 11th October 2018 to address persistent issues on Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), Port of Mombasa and the Inland Container Depot in Embakasi, Nairobi.
 
Other challenges discussed include the cost of power, delayed payments and Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) Exemption.
 
Present at the meeting, Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) clarified on the port congestion, haulage of empty containers, clearance time, among others issued discussed.
 
Led by the Chapter and County Affairs Manager, Mr Elijah Ambasa, the delegation comprised staff from the KAM Policy, Research and Advocacy Unit (PRAU).
